The Last Steps to my Master's Degree

In September 2021 I officially started my Communication science master’s program. As I am writing this, I am halfway through and about to start writing my thesis. The last semester I learned a lot of valuable knowledge by following several classes. I finished the classes of Innovations in Communication, Marketing Communication, Media and Consumption Culture, Current Theories of Persuasion and Resistance and Research Methods.

I have learned so much about how the consumer’s mind works, how one can influence this, how it is already being influenced and how you can use this knowledge for good. I am loving every minute of learning more and more about everything communication.

Currently I am also working on a group project. Through focus group research, we are trying to figure out the perfect way for an organization to recruit new personnel. Once again, it has been great learning about a new way of conducting research.

I have decided to write my thesis about a subject close to my heart. I am conducting empirical research about how computer mediated communication influences long distance relationships. I am beyond excited to start working on this and writing my thesis. I look forward to updating you about this in a couple of months. Hopefully then I can also say I have obtained my master’s degree in Communication Science.
